Turning 27 last month was great. It was loads of fun organizing a great party I’ll write about very soon, and I decided to bake my own little 27 Oreo Cupcakes. We had a blast celebrating and I can’t wait to show you some party pictures. In the meantime, here’s the Oreo Cupcakes recipe that you’ll find really easy to bake. Even the frosting was done in no time.
What you’ll need:
For the Cupcakes:
– 200 g of unsalted Butter, softened
– 1 cup of granulated Sugar
– 2 cups of cake Flour
– 2 teaspoons of Baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of Salt
– 0.5 cup of Milk
– 1 teaspoon of Vanilla powder
– 10 Oreo biscuits (cream-filled)
For the Frosting:
– 3 cups of Confectioners’ sugar
– 200 g of Butter, softened
– A pinch of Salt
– 10 Oreo biscuits (cream-filled)
Of course, you will also need cute cases you can find in supermarkets.
How to make the Cupcakes:
1) In a bowl, Crush 10 oreo biscuits

2) Combine all the cupcake ingredients in another bowl (except for the crushed oreos) and beat with a mixer for around 2 to 3 minutes until the mix looks smooth and pale

3) Add the Oreos to the mix, leaving the mixer aside

4) Divide the mix across your cases (by filling 2/3 of the cases), and bake for 20 minutes or when a clean skewer comes out of the cupcakes, at 175 degrees Celsius

How to make the frosting:
1) Sift the confectioners’ sugar
2) In a bowl, beat the sifted confectioners’ sugar along with the softened butter and salt using a mixer

3) Mix in the chopped Oreos, leaving the mixer aside

When the cupcakes are done and have cooled, spread the frosting on top and you’re ready to serve!
