5 Things London: The most important meal of the week: Brunch!

If you’re faithful readers of this blog, you’ll know that half of my heart lives in London, the city of my childhood travels and last student year. What’s more, is that my sister’s been living there for the last three years so I’ve been visiting frequently. Inspiration strikes when I’m there and we constantly find loads of things worth sharing. So if you frequently visit London for work or to visit family and friends, here’s a series destined to give you a glimpse of the city through our eyes.

As we’re getting ready to leave for London this afternoon, I’m looking forward to tomorrow morning: BRUNCH TIME! Here are 5 places for a great brunch in London.

There aren’t enough weekends in the year to try all the brunch places London has to offer. So picking 5 was a real struggle! Here are some places we went to recently and which should be enough to get you started on your London brunch journey.

1- Caravan Exmouth Market – An inventive menu with a cool interior. This is definitely one of the faves. Be prepared to queue though, as they don’t take reservations and have become really popular. Take advantage of the cute street that is Exmouth market to have a coffee in a cute coffeeshop.
2- Pavillion Cafe – Located in Victoria Park by the boating lake, this place is truly magical on a sunny day. Go early and be prepared to sit outside! Eggs and avocado on sourdough toast is the kind of simple and delicious option you’ll find on the menu. You’ll be able to burn off the calories with a walk in the park or along the canal afterwards.
3- Rawduck – Simple seasonal cooking in a casual setting close to London fields. Perfect for an east London kind of day.
4- The Tabe Cafe – A slick and bright cafe close to the South Bank (minutes away from the Tate Modern). All you need to know is that they serve pancakes with crispy bacon. ‘Nough said.
5- Greenberry Cafe – Eggscellent for a day up in Primrose hill ;). The English Breakfast in this place was honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s not hard to get it right but these guys just massively exceeded eggspectations!
