I find myself asking my daughter that question more often than I would like to.
Lately, I’ve been lazy about healthy cooking and indulging in whipping up quick meals more often. Of course, this brings back the guilt.
But then I reframed my thoughts.
Why don’t I add some veggies here and some easy source of protein there? Construct a balanced meal made out of easy things. Also, Italians grow up on this, don’t they? The pasta and the pizza. It’s all they have, no? And their kids turn out fine!
My child is happy and well-fed.
So, pesto or pasta? Which one would you choose with your gnocchi, fusilli, penne, or my personal favorite, good old spaghetti?
